Privacy Policy

This policy describes BorrowBack as currently implemented. BorrowBack is designed to keep your lending ledger on your device.

Information you enter

BorrowBack stores the item name, borrower name, lending date, optional note, optional private reminder date, and return date that you enter. The app stores these records locally in its on-device application storage.

Optional photos

If you choose a photo, BorrowBack copies it into the app’s local storage. The app has no upload path for that photo.

Notifications

If you enable a reminder, iOS schedules a local notification for you. BorrowBack does not send a message or notification to the borrower.

Export and sharing

When you choose Export CSV, BorrowBack creates the CSV file locally and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Any destination you choose in that sheet is controlled by you.

Purchases

BorrowBack Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. BorrowBack does not require an account and does not maintain a developer-side purchase profile.

What BorrowBack does not collect

The app does not use Contacts, location, advertising identifiers, analytics, cloud sync, a developer-operated database, or recipient messaging. It does not sell or track the information in your ledger.

Deletion and control

Your ledger and any copied photos are stored in the app’s local storage. Removing the app from your device removes its local app data. Exported CSV files and anything you share from the iOS share sheet are separate copies under your control.
